바이올리니스트 김다미는 2012 독일 하노버 Joachim 국제바이올린콩쿠르에서 우승을 차지하며 세계 음악계에 강한 존재감을 나타냈다. 2010년 제 53회 파가니니 국제콩쿠르 1위 없는 2위, 2011년 일본 나고야 무네츠구 국제콩쿠르 우승, 2012년 퀸 엘리자베스 콩쿠르와 2014년 인디애나폴리스 국제콩쿠르 입상 등 국내외 저명한 콩쿠르에서의 수상경력을 지니고 있다.

미국 필라델피아 오케스트라, 센다이 오케스트라, 벨기에 국립 오케스트라, 독일 NDR 라디오 오케스트라, KBS 교향악단, 서울시향, 대전시향, 경기필하모닉 오케스트라 등과 협연했으며 금호 영재, 금호 영아티스트, 금호 라이징스타 연주를 포함 국내 외의 저명한 무대에 빠짐없이 이름을 올렸다.

예원학교 (양해엽 사사), 커티스음악원 (아론 로잔드 사사), 보스톤 뉴잉글랜드 콘서바토리 (미리암 프리드 사사)를 거쳐 현재는 독일 크론베르크 아카데미에서 미하일라 마틴을 사사 중이다. 2014년 KBS 1 FM 주관으로 '한국의 클래식 내일의 주역들' 음반이 발매되었으며, 2015년 8월 스위스 루체른 페스티벌에서 데뷔무대가 예정되어 있다.

Born in 1988, Dami Kim comes with remarkable credentials: in 2002 she studied with Aaron Rosand at the prestigious Curtis Institute in Philadelphia. In 2007 she then went on to study with Miriam Fried at the New England Conservatory in Boston, and currently she is finishing up her work at the Kronberg Academy with Mihaela Martin. In 2012 she was not only a laureate at the International Queen Elisabeth Competition but also won first prize in the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition in Hanover. She was awarded further prizes in the Premio Paganini International Violin Competition, for example, where she also won the prize for the best interpretation of a Paganini Caprice.

The Korean violinist has performed with several orchestras throughout Europe, America and Asia, such as the NDR Radio Philharmonic, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie and the Philadelphia Orchestra. She has worked with renowned artists such as Shlomo Mintz, Donald Weilerstein, Curtis Macomber, Atar Arad and Itamar Golan. She also has a particular interest in chamber music and takes part regularly in chamber music festivals such as the Ravinia Festival, the Aspen Music Festival and so on. In 2015, Dami Kim is going to have debut recital in Lucerne Festival.
