“활기차고 폭발적인 연주”의 피아니스트로 사랑 받고 있는 박종해는 2008년 제4회 Nagoya 국제 음악 콩쿨에서 최연소 2위 입상 및 Chamber Music 특별상을 수상하며 주목을 받기 시작하였다. 이어 제2회 Hong Kong 국제 피아노 콩쿨에서 최연소 2위에 입상하며 기량을 인정받았으며, 2009년에는 제8회 Dublin 국제 피아노 콩쿨에서 최연소 2위 입상과 함께 최우수 협주곡 연주특별상 및 최우수 모차르트 특별상까지 수상하며 피아니스트로서 국제적 활동의 전기를 마련하였다. 2010년에는 세계 3대 피아노콩쿨로 더욱 유명한 퀸엘리자베스 피아노 콩쿨에서의 입상 및 최연소연주자특별상(SOS Talents)을 수상하며 음악계의 주목을 받고 있는 차세대 피아니스트이다.
6세에 피아노를 시작한 박종해는 미국 유학 중 Greater New Haven Concert Orchestra Competition(1999년, 1위), 23rd Renee B. Fisher Competition (2000년, 2위)에 입상하였으며, 국민일보 한세대 콩쿠르 및 이화경향 콩쿠르 입상 등 국내외 콩쿠르에서 우수한 성적으로 입상하였다.
2000년 Greater New Haven Concert Orchestra(미국, Yale Morse Recital Hall)와의 협연으로 데뷔한 박종해는 Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra(일본, 나고야), Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra(홍콩), Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie(벨기에, 브뤼셀), RTE National Symphony Orchestra(아일랜드, 더블린), National Orchestra of Belgium(벨기에, 브뤼셀), 부천 필하모닉 오케스트라 및 첼리스트 정명화와의 연주 등 활발한 연주활동을 펼치고 있다.
솔리스트로서의 활동 또한 주목할 만 하다. 금호 영재 콘서트, 금호 영아티스트 콘서트, 금호 신년음악회, 야마하 라이징 스타 시리즈 콘서트, KNUA 피아니스트 시리즈 콘서트 및 다수의 독주회를 가진 바 있으며 일본 이시카와 펠로우십 라이징 스타 초청 독주회, Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall 초청 독주회, l'Oratoire du Louvre 초청 독주회(프랑스, 파리), National Concert Hall 초청 독주회(더블린, 아일랜드) 등의 무대에 서며 활동의 폭을 넓히고 있다.

Jong-Hai Park, born on October 17, 1990, in Seoul, Republic of Korea, began his music education at the age of six.
Mr. Park has studied at the Neighborhood Music School and the Hartt School in USA. He also has studied at the Yewon Music School, Seoul Arts High School, and Korea National University of Arts (KNUA) in Korea. He has been honorably permitted entrance of KNUA through the Prodigy Program 2006. In 2012 he auditioned and received scholarship to the piano department of Hannover University in the Germany where he continues studies with professor Arie Vardi.
Mr. Park has won numerous domestic and international competitions, including the Greater New Haven Concert Orchestra Competition in 1999 (1st prize), the 23rd Renee B. Fisher Competition in 2000 (2nd prize), Korea Philharmonic Orchestra Competition in 2002 (1st prize), Ewhakyunghang Competition in 2005 (3rd prize), the 4th Nagoya International Music Competition (2nd prize) and Award from Japan Academy of Chamber Music in 2008, and the 2nd Hong Kong International Piano Competition in 2008 (2nd prize). He also has won a prize (2nd prize) and special awards such as the RTE NSO Prize for the best concerto performance and the Bridget Doolan Prize for the best performance of a piece by Mozart at the 8th Dublin International Piano Competition in 2009. Year 2010 he laureated a finalist in the Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition and won the SOS Talents as a prize for the youngest finalist. He has won the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Prize in 2011 sponsored by the City of Eppan. He also laureated a finalist at the Honens International Piano Competition in 2012. In this competition, he drawed enthusiastic applause as the true virtuoso’s elan, and also a winning collaborative sense, moulding the ends of phrases with an eye to what the orchestra was doing. If he’d won I would have been happy by The Telegraph, London. In 2014 He has won 1st Prize and Contemporary music prize at Piano Campus Competition .
Mr. Park has given his first concert at the age of nine with the Greater New Haven Concert Orchestra in 1999. Since then, he has made frequent appearances with other major orchestra, such as the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra, Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, National Orchestra of Belgium, Royal Chamber Wallonie, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and RTE National Symphony Orchestra. He also has given numerous recitals as a soloist including Kumho Prodigy Concert & Rising Star Series, Kumho Young Artist Concert Series, Recital Series at La monnaie and a I’Oratoire du Louvre, Palais des Beaux-Arts ,Jack Singer Concert Hall.
